We take a look at where some of Texas' top recruiting targets - and commitments - will be visiting this weekend.

The Weekend column is back! We take a look around the country and highlight some visits that top Texas recruiting targets (and commitments!) will be taking. The Longhorns are on the road so they won’t be hosting any players until next weekend, but there are still some interesting visits we’ll be monitoring. Let’s take a look.

Miami

RB Derrek Cooper – Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Texas commitment)

DT James Johnson – Miami Northwestern (Texas commitment)

— Needless to say, these are two of the biggest developments of the weekend, with two Texas commitments expected in Miami. The Hurricanes are trying to do whatever they can to keep both in-state players to stay home. Is either player on flip watch?

Texas A&M

RB KJ Edwards – Carthage (Texas A&M commitment)

2027 DB John Meredith – Euless Trinity

2027 OT Kaeden Scott – San Antonio Roosevelt

2027 EDGE Kaden McCarty – Cy Fallas

2028 OL R’Monie Edwards – Cy Ranch

2028 OL Jai’Storm Knight – Converse Judson

— The Aggies getting K.J. Edwards on campus could be big since he’s still wanting to see a couple of Texas games. The other players listed above all have Texas offers, including 5-star John Meredith. Texas needs to get Meredith back to Austin for a game of its own.

Clemson

2027 OL Kennedy Brown – Kingwood

2027 Cb Joshua Dobson – Fort Mill (SC) Catawba Ridge

2027 LB Kaden Henderson – Tampa Jesuit

— Kennedy Brown is the big story here. The nation’s No. 1-ranked prospect was considering going to the Texas-Ohio State game but will instead be at Clemson. Look for him to make his way to Austin in the coming weeks.

Oregon

WR Jalen Lott – Frisco Panther Creek (Oregon commitment)

— The more times he visits Oregon, the less likely he is to flip to Texas so this trip is noteworthy.

Florida

TE Heze Kent – Brunswick (GA) (Florida commitment)

— I doubt Kent would be a flip candidate, and him visiting the Gators seems to back that up.

Florida State

2027 QB Kavian Bryant – Palestine Westwood – Interesting visit here for one of the Longhorns’ top targets in the 2027 class. He’ll get to see a good one with FSU hosting Alabama.

Ohio State

2027 RB Elijah Kimble – Canisius (NY)

2027 WR Easton Royal – New Orleans Brother Martin

2027 WR Kesean Bowman – Nashville Brentwood Academy (Oregon commitment)

2027 DB Jerry Outhouse Jr. – North Crowley

2027 S Isala Wily-Ava –St. John Bosco

2028 QB Niemann Lawrence – Miami Northwestern

— Plenty of UT targets will be in attendance to watch the Longhorns square off with Ohio State. We break down these visits, and others, in the War Room.
