Here’s a look at the Orangebloods Staff SEC Power Poll after week two.
1. LSU (93 points – 3 first place votes)
High voter: (1) Anwar, Alex, Cody and Travis
Low Voter: (3) Geoff
Not even a sluggish start on Saturday and Clemson nearly messing around and finding out knocked the Tigers down a peg from last week. Also, Sydir Mitchell is no longer with the Tigers.
2. Georgia (90 points – 2 first place votes)
High voter: (1) Jason and Ketch
Low Voter: (3) Cody and Travis
I don’t know why anyone would give LSU the benefit of the doubt over the Dawgs at this point.
3. Texas (87 points)
High voter: (2) Cody, Geoff and Travis
Low Voter: (3) Alex, Jason and Anwar
There’s a very clear top 3.
4. Oklahoma (70 points)
High voter: (4) Anwar, Jason and Travis
Low Voter: (9) Geoff
No, I’m not falling for the okey-doke because they beat a team I thought they’d beat all off-season. Plus, Temple might just be fired up this week!
5. South Carolina (63 points)
High voter: (4) Geoff
Low Voter: (10) Jason
Why does Jason hate the Cocks?

6T. Texas A&M (60 points)
High voter: (6) Anwar and Travis
Low Voter: (9) Cody
The Aggies look a little like the Aggies I thought we’d see.
6T. Tennessee (60 points)
High voter: (4) Cody
Low Voter: (11) Anwar
The gap in the SEC Power Poll doesn’t get much wider than the difference between 4th and 11th.
8. Alabama (57 points)
High voter: (5) Geoff
Low Voter: (13) Anwar
I stand corrected. The gap doesn’t get much wider than the difference between 5th and 13th.
9. Auburn (47 points)
High voter: (6) Geoff
Low Voter: (13) Travis
I think some covering the SEC are sleeping on the Tigers.
10. Missouri (42 points)
High voter: (5) Cody
Low Voter: (12) Jason and Travis
I guess beating Kansas did nothing for Jason and Travis.
(The rest of the SEC…)
11. Ole Miss (41 points)
12. Vandy (40 points)
13. Florida (27 points)
14. Miss State (21 points)
15. Arkansas (16 points)
16. Kentucky (7 points)
