Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian appears to be the kind of guy who just doesn’t like change.
The Longhorn offense may be stuck in first gear this year, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to see a change in who calls the plays.
“That’s why I got hired. I was a really good offensive coordinator,” Sarkisian said. “I’m always going to tap into the strength that I have and I think being a play-caller on offense is one of my strengths. Some may disagree, that’s okay.”
You can’t get more definitive than that … even if it makes @Krazy4UT’s head explode.
Sark is also not a fan of a new NCAA rule change that no longer punishes student athletes who legally gamble on professional sports.
“I totally disagree with the NCAA on this,” Sarkisian said Thursday. “Here we are in an era where we have revenue sharing and NIL publicity rights, and so the players now have money. So now let’s give them the freedom to take that money and gamble it away. That makes no sense to me.”
