Texas Baseball is once again represented among the nation’s elite, as Dylan Volantis, Carson Tinney and Aiden Robbins earned 2026 Preseason All-America honors from Perfect Game.
Volantis headlined the group with a First Team selection after a dominant debut season in Austin. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound left-hander was a consensus All-American in his freshman campaign and was named Baseball America National Freshman of the Year. Volantis led all Division I freshmen in WHIP (0.88) and saves (12), while also ranking second nationally among rookies in ERA (1.94) and opponent batting average (.185). His 11 saves in SEC play set a new conference record for a freshman, surpassing a mark that had stood for 22 years. Volantis also earned NCBWA Freshman Pitcher of the Year and SEC Pitcher of the Year honors, finishing tied for 10th nationally in saves.

Tinney, a transfer from Notre Dame, secured Second Team Preseason All-America recognition after an outstanding sophomore season in 2025. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound catcher was a consensus All-American and one of three finalists for the Buster Posey Award alongside former Longhorn Rylan Galvan. Tinney led all Power Four players in wRC+ (179) and wOBA (.535), while posting the second-highest OPS (1.251) in the country. He paced Notre Dame in nearly every major offensive category, including average (.348), home runs (17), RBI (53) and on-base percentage (.498), establishing himself as one of the premier hitters in college baseball.

Rounding out the Longhorn trio, Robbins earned a Second Team selection following a stellar sophomore season at Seton Hall. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound outfielder ranked sixth nationally in batting average (.422) and posted a .482 BABIP. Robbins led the Pirates in a host of offensive categories, including runs (63), hits (86), doubles (19), total bases (133), walks (44), on-base percentage (.537), slugging (.652) and stolen bases (20). The Pennsylvania native was also named to the All-Big East First Team and collected honors this summer in the Cape Cod League, earning the title of batting champion after leading the league with a .307 batting average and .936 OPS in 26 games for the Harwich Mariners.
