Freman is a very underrated addition for the Longhorns this upcoming season and brings a ton of versatility to the small forward position. Posting an impressive 4.3 box plus-minus at Auburn last season, Freeman can instantly be the missing piece the Longhorns needed at small forward by being a two-way player for Sean Miller next season. Freeman posted the second-highest steal percentage rate with the Tigers last season, as well as the third-highest defensive box plus-minus grade for the Tigers

By landing Freeman, the Longhorns will have a much lengthier roster next season. Freeman brings talent to both sides of the ball, and arguably, becomes the starting small forward for Texas next season, barring Dailyn Swain deciding to return next season. Freeman becomes the fourth transfer commitment for Sean Miller this offseason.
