Super Blue Chip Edge Jake Kreul

In an update from Rival.com analyst Steve Wiltfong, the Florida edge product is described as a possible next target for the Longhorns.
Wiltfong writes: “Oklahoma has been the perceived favorite for much of the process, but the Longhorns have been rising up the list this summer and are right there at the top for the IMG Academy pass rusher.
“Kreul’s official visit to Austin this summer really moved the needle and the Longhorns have an exciting NIL opportunity on the table as well.”
Super Blue Chip Linebacker Izayia Williams

Another player that Wiltfong mentions in the same update as a possible Texas target heading down the homestretch of the 2026 cycle is Izayia Williams, who is another Florida prep product who is committed to Ole Miss.
Wiltfong wites: “There has also been talk of Rivals No. 1 linebacker Izayia Williams taking an official visit to the Longhorns campus this fall. We’ll see if that transpires.”
Texas A&M Adds a 4-Star Safety Tylan Wilson

Texas A&M picked up an interesting commitment over the weekend from a 4-star safety out of Mississippi by the name of Tylan Wilson
“”Texas A&M felt like home from the beginning. I wanted to be somewhere that would push me on the field,” Wilson told 247.
What’s interesting about the addition of Wilson is that he’s a consensus national top 250 prospect, but he’s exactly the kind of second-tier, non-super blue chip impact prospect that the Longhorns are drifting away from as a general rule of thumb because of the rising costs of this tier of prospects.
He’s also the kind of out of state prospect that the Aggies should be able to find somewhere inside of the state of Texas borders. Like the Longhorns, the Aggies are struggling to dominate the top of the state this year in terms of sheer volume, as MIke Elko and Co. only have commitments from three of the state’s Top 35 in the current Rivals Industry rankings in the state of Texas.
