It is time for us to discuss practice in a way that would make Allen Iverson beam with pride.
Steve Sarkisian allowed the media to watch significant portions of practice this past week. There was so much access on Monday and Wednesday that I briefly wondered if sports information director John Bianco was scrolling through funny Instagram videos on his phone and simply lost track of time.
Heck, even Alex Dunlap couldn’t complain about the lack of practice access, which is rarer than Alex Dunlap complaining about the lack of practice access.
We all understand the stakes entering the 2026 season. Texas is pushing all of its chips to the center of the table, and the expectation is for the Longhorns to compete for a national championship. If we’re debating whether Texas is headed to the Cheez-It Bowl or the Citrus Bowl after the season, something went incredibly wrong.
At that point, the digital prison yard known as Orangebloods would turn into a full-blown riot, with everyone looking over their shoulder to avoid getting shanked.
As we enter spring break — where we can only hope not to see Jason Suchomel in a thong — let’s discuss everything we learned about the 2026 Texas Longhorn football team this past week (combining Alex’s and mine observations).
