Per a report from ON3’s Pete Nakos, “Texas is trending to land a transfer defensive back from the Ivy League.”
“Sources tell On3 that Texas is in position to land a transfer commitment from Brown defensive back Nick Hudson,” Nakos reported on ON3. “The Longhorns have been aggressive in adding depth pieces this spring that are still available in the portal.”
A native of Shadow Creek HS, Hudson has been an all Ivy-League cornerback for Brown the last few seasons.

2024: Phil Steele Fourth Team All-Ivy…Started all 10 games at cornerback…Recorded 29.0 total tackles (24.0 solo)…Led the Ivy League with 13 pass breakups and was third with 13 passes defended…Recovered two fumbles…Recovered a fumble on a botched field goal and returned it 33 yards to set up the game-winning touchdown in the final minute against Harvard (9/28)…Season-high 6.0 tackles against Bryant (10/5).
Played in all 10 games…Recorded 12 solo tackles and 18 total tackles…Tallied a season-high four tackles against Princeton (Oct. 14) and Cornell (Oct. 21)…Had three tackles and half a sack against Yale (Nov. 4).

Personal: Son of Lacelia and Terry Hudson…Has one brother, Uryan….Uryan plays college football at the University of Colorado…His father Terry played football at Southern University…His uncle, Chris Hudson was an All-American and Jim Thorpe Award Winner at Colorado in 1994 and was drafted in the third round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars…His high school teammate C.J. Brown plays football at Columbia.
