Class of 2026 four-star shooting guard Austin Goosby was in Austin this past weekend for his official visit with the Longhorns. Goosby is the No. 2 player in Texas, according to On3, and has completed visits to Texas, Duke and Miami over the past two weeks.
I spoke with multiple sources about the visit, and I’m told the trip to the Forty Acres went well for Goosby. Head coach Sean Miller and his staff did a strong job outlining how Goosby would fit into their system and how they plan to develop him into a future NBA Draft prospect.
What stood out during the visit with the Longhorns was head coach Sean Miller’s style of play in practice and how well it could translate to the NBA. A key factor in Goosby’s recruitment is player development and the potential to eventually become an elite NBA Draft prospect.
Up next for Goosby is a trip to Waco, Texas, on Sept. 18 for an official visit with the Baylor Bears and head coach Scott Drew and his staff.
